Residents are advised that construction crews from the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission (CRSWSC) will be working at the Town of Calmar Reservoir and Fill Station to replace an aging fill-line in early October. The line is owned and operated by the Commission and will need to be shut down during this repair period.

Workers will first install a two-inch bypass line, which will be used to feed the water reservoir during the construction period. The repairs are scheduled as follows:

• Oct. 7 – 8: Place a tap to install the bypass fill line.
• Oct. 9 – 12: Run the original fill line over weekend.
• Oct. 13 – 16: Remove and replace existing fill line; sample water, conduct tests to ensure public safety, then recommission the infrastructure.

Residents should not experience any water shortages or service interruptions during this period; however, continency plans are in place to mitigate any unforeseen service interruptions.

We ask residents to limit water use to only essential needs during the repair period and have some water stored on-hand should any issues occur.
