KidSport – Town of Calmar

Did you know that KidSport Leduc & County provides financial assistance to help kids right here in Calmar get off the sidelines and into the game? Families facing financial barriers may qualify for up to $350 per child, per year toward registration fees for organized sports — including eligible school sports.

For hockey families, thanks to the Oilers Community Foundation Hockey Assist Program, eligible players could potentially receive up to $750 in funding.

Here’s something we really want families to know: don’t assume you don’t qualify! KidSport Leduc & County assesses families using the Low-Income Cut-Off, or LICO, plus 50%. This means the income threshold may be higher than you think. For example, a household of four with an income under $88,900 may qualify for assistance.

Whether your child wants to play hockey, volleyball, soccer, basketball, dance, school sports, or another eligible organized sport, KidSport believes finances shouldn’t be the reason they have to sit on the sidelines. Don’t count yourself out — apply!
