In Calmar, our seniors are the thread woven through the fabric of this community, their stories, their faces, their firm grips and knowing smiles. Seniors Week is our chance to come together across generations, share what matters, and remind each other that here, no one is a stranger.

Intergenerational Day | Monday June 1, 2026 

Join the Town of Calmar for Intergenerational Day, a celebration that brings together residents of all ages to connect, share experiences, and strengthen community relationships. The day highlights the value of learning from one another and building meaningful connections across generations.

Golden Rules Program | Tuesday June 2, 2026

FCSS is looking for senior volunteers to take part in a Golden Rules session at Calmar Elementary School. Golden Rules is an intergenerational program designed to bring generations together through interactive stations, stories, and shared experiences.

This is a fun and meaningful opportunity to connect, share memories, and help younger generations discover what life was like growing up years ago.

Join us for the Seniors Expo & Appreciation Lunch a chance to recognize and celebrate the contributions of older adults in our community. The event brings seniors together with local organizations offering valuable programs, services, and supports.

• 11:00 AM Doors open – Explore resource tables and learn about local programs and supports
• 12:00 PM – Lunch served
• Until 3:00 PM – Continue visiting with local organizations before the event wraps up
