Residents taking part in the organics collection program are advised that a small restriction was overlooked regarding bin weight limits when the program began in May.

The organics collection truck equipment is only capable of lifting a maximum of 200lbs. Any bins in excess of this weight capacity can cause equipment failure, which may result in the bin being dropped, causing damage and/or spilling the contents on the sidewalk and roadway. Cleanup will remain the responsibility of the resident.

Please do not overfill your green bins with heavy items like grass and sod. If you have large and heavy loads, please take them to the organics collection site at the Public Works Yard.
