Delegations
Council received information from two delegations, who discussed sidewalk concerns and accessibility to Council and Town administration.
Development Permit for 4702 – 49 Avenue
Council approved Development Permit #2026-053D with the conditions as presented.
2026 Heels and Holly Market and Luncheon – Leduc and District Chamber of Commerce
Council directed Administration to put out a call out to local women entrepreneurs who would like to attend the event with members of Council, and ask them to send an email to council@calmar.ca expressing their interest. Council will review the responses and make a decision on attendees prior to October 20, 2026.
Chris Brown – Cross Border Podcasts
Council accepted the Cross Border Network’s presentation as information.
Mayor Krista Gardner is participating as a panelist in the Everything’s Local – Edmonton Live Show from 2:30pm – 5pm on October 18 at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre in Edmonton. The panel brings together municipal leaders representing both rural and urban perspectives to share their insights on the current state of local government, the issues facing municipalities today, and what the future holds for Alberta’s communities.
Stale-dated Cheques
Council directed Administration to re-issue the cheques in the name of Jaime McKeag-Reber, operating as Wild Summit Collective.
Town of Calmar Trial Balance as of September 30, 2026

Council accepted the Leduc, Beaumont, Devon Primary Care Network Annual Report and the Yellowhead Regional Library 2027 Draft Budget, as information.
