Calmar Resident Appreciation Day
Join us for a day dedicated to celebrating the community that makes Calmar special. Resident Appreciation Day is an opportunity to connect with neighbours, enjoy local activities, and spend time together as a town. From family-friendly entertainment to great food and community highlights, this event brings residents together for a relaxed and enjoyable day at Engberg Park.
Celebrate community at Calmar’s Resident Appreciation Day on June 14 at Engberg Park. Enjoy a free BBQ, youth lemonade stands, awards, and an afternoon movie with friends and neighbours.

9:30am – Lemonade Stand Set-Up
11:00am – Lemonade stands open
12:00pm – BBQ Starts
1:30pm – Mayor’s State of Calmar Address & Lemonade Stand Awards
2:30pm – Indoor Movie (TBD)

Become a Sponsor
Resident Appreciation Day is made possible through the support of local businesses and community partners. Sponsorship is a great way to showcase your business while supporting a well-attended local event.
We are going out to our business community to ask each business to sponsor one child who will design, decorate, and give away lemonade at their lemonade stand. Each business will be paired with a Calmar Child to help cover the cost of supplies to make and give away the lemonade. The stand and its decorations will be up to the children (and their parents). The idea behind this is to introduce our young entrepreneurs to our business community.

Free BBQ for Calmar Residents
Enjoy a complimentary BBQ as a thank-you to our residents. Come hungry and take part in a relaxed afternoon filled with good food, conversation, and community spirit. This portion of the event is exclusively for Calmar residents.
Lemonade Stand Event
One of the highlights of the day is the Lemonade Stand Event, where local youth have the opportunity to set up their own stands, get creative, and participate in a fun, community-focused activity.
Participants can:
- Run their own lemonade stand
- Engage with the community
- Compete for awards and recognition
Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
