Arena availability
Mike Karbonik Arena
Located at 5019 47 St, Calmar, AB T0C 0V0
The Mike Karbonik Arena is home to the West 39 Minor Hockey association, Calmar Pond Hockey, Calmar Skating Club, RHA Hockey, the Cubs, Stars, Crusaders, Good Timers and Blades Men’s League. Ice programming begins in September through to the end of March and Spring/Summer programming runs on the dry floor April until August!

Public skating
Public skating, shinny, and stick & puck is offered to residents at no charge throughout the Fall and Winter beginning September 22nd, 2025
Public Skating is on Monday and Thursdays 3:30pm-4:45pm and Stick & Puck / Shinny is Tuesdays 3:30pm-4:45pm excluding Holidays and is subject to change. For up to date times please call the office or arena!

Hockey & figure skating
In addition to public skating, there are hockey and figure skating clubs and programs in Calmar for all ages and experience:
